Grab Your Spot NOW!

Once a month the lights come on, the heats get called, and the floor at WEFiT Winter Park turns into a full HYROX race.

Not a class. Not a workout inspired by HYROX. The actual format, in order, against a clock, with a room full of people running it beside you.

You leave with a real time. What you do with it is up to you.

What HYROX actually is

HYROX is a fitness race. Eight kilometers of running, broken up by eight workout stations. Same eight stations, same order, in every city in the world, which is why your time actually means something when you compare it.

You run one kilometer. You hit a station. You run again. Eight times through, until the wall balls at the end, which everybody underestimates.

The clock never stops. Not between stations, not while you catch your breath. That space between the run and the station is called the roxzone, and it is where most first races quietly fall apart.

The format, in order

  1. 1km run, then 1000m SkiErg
  2. 1km run, then 50m sled push
  3. 1km run, then 50m sled pull
  4. 1km run, then 80m burpee broad jumps
  5. 1km run, then 1000m row
  6. 1km run, then 200m farmers carry
  7. 1km run, then 100m sandbag lunges
  8. 1km run, then 100 wall balls

Who this is for

First simulation or fifth race, the floor is the same. Every heat has people chasing a personal record next to people finding out what a sled feels like for the first time. Nobody is watching your time. They are watching you finish.

If you are training for a HYROX race, this is the only way to practice the transitions before race day. If you have never done one, this is the least intimidating room in Orlando to find out.

Questions people ask

Do I need to have done HYROX before?
No. Most people running have not.

Do I need a partner?
Only for doubles and relay. Singles is on your own.

How long does it take?
Most people finish somewhere between [X] and [X] minutes depending on format and pace.

Is this an official HYROX race?
No. It is a full simulation of the race format, run under the same structure, so you get the real experience and a real time without traveling to a race city.

What if I cannot finish a station?
Scale it, break it up, take the extra breath. Finishing matters more than the number.
